All of this year’s THURSDAY FUN-RAISERS are open to the public, and will be held from 6 to 8:30 pm. Admission to each event is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Attendees will each receive one free drink ticket good for beer, wine or soft drinks; additional drinks will be available at happy hour prices. Crane’s will also provide an array of amazing hors d’oeuvres and tasty treats from leading local restaurants, and live music will be performed.

The unique learning environment at Plumosa School of the Arts in Delray Beach provides K-8 students with the opportunity to imagine, explore, create, and reach their potential in academics, dual language, the arts, and S.T.A.R. citizenship. On behalf of the Gold Coast Public Relations Council, this will be the ninth annual PR YAK-YAK party that attracts numerous public relations and marketing professionals as well as local print, broadcast and online journalists. GCPRC is the largest independent organization of PR & marketing professionals in South Florida. The food at this Thursday Fun-Raiser will be from Max’s Harvest in Delray Beach, with music by steel drummer Cecil Xavier. BEST BITE ON THE AVE
For the fourth year in a row, eight local restaurants will compete for the coveted title of Best Bite on the Ave. Attendees will get a passport for a food and drink tasting from each participating restaurant. They will also receive one voting token upon admission and one extra token for every drink purchased at the event. Attendees will then drop their tokens in their favorite restaurant’s fishbowl. At the end of the evening, the restaurant with the most tokens will be declared Best Bite on the Ave 2015. Previous winners include Caffe Luna Rosa in 2014, Tryst Gastropub in 2013 and Prime Delray in 2012.
Live music at Best Bite on the Ave will be provided by Drew Tucker in the south side Tiki Bar at Crane’s Beach House, with music by Michele Lynn by the hotel’s north side swimming pool.
This year’s final THURSDAY FUN-RAISER will benefit two patriotic nonprofit organizations based in Delray Beach:
+ HOW Foundation of South Florida, which increases awareness about the medicinal benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and raises supplementary funds for helping wounded warriors and other individuals receive treatment for HBOT indications not typically covered by insurance. + Project Holiday, which supports local families who have loved ones serving in the armed forces around the world.
Both nonprofit organizations will receive $5 with each paid admission and $1 for every token used for voting.
