Sandoway Discovery Center: You’d never guess by looking at it that Sandoway is one of Delray’s newest cultural attractions, having opened its doors in 2020, as it’s housed in a historically preserved beachfront home that dates back to the 1930s. Sitting directly across from the beach, Sandoway has quickly become a favorite spot for Delray’s youngest visitors and marine life lovers, as it offers everything from shark and stingray feedings, to an aquatic touch tank filled with urchins and sea stars- among other aquatic life, to places to observe and learn about Everglade reptiles and tortoises, to name a few experiences. Sandoway is also just steps from Crane’s Beach House.
Putt’n Around: For those who know Putt’n Around, they know this 36-hole mini golf course is nothing short of an institution in Delray Beach. Featuring two themed 18-hole courses- The Ocean and The Everglades- Putt’n Around is less than a mile from Delray’s downtown Atlantic Avenue and a great way to enjoy some campy old Florida fun! Putt’n Around offers hole-side delivery of family-friendly food options, such as burgers, chicken tenders, mac-n-cheese bites, and quesadillas, as well as over 50 craft beers, wines, and other beverages, making this another great way to spend a mealtime if you have fidgety little diners.
