Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar Welcomes 110 Guests at 4th Annual JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION
June 20 Fun-Raiser Raised $2,500 for the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum
(Delray Beach, FL – June 24, 2013) Cathy Balestriere, general manager of Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar, today announced that the popular, Key West-style boutique hotel welcomed 110 guests at the fourth annual JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION. The second of this season’s Third Thursday Fun-Raisers at Crane’s BeachHouse raised more than $$2,500 for the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum in Delray Beach.
“Many of our supporters, friends and partners were on hand for this fun summer party that recognized a very special date in the history of African-Americans and this country,” said Museum Director Charlene Jones. “Juneteenth is also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day since news of freedom fell on the 19th of June nearly 150 years ago.”
The JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION was held on June 20 at the 625-square foot poolside Tiki Bar at Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel, which is located at 82 Gleason Street in Delray Beach, just one block south of Atlantic Avenue and one block west of the Atlantic Ocean.
In addition to Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel, sponsors for the fourth annual JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION included Morgan Stanley financial advisor Jay Rowley and Delray Yacht Cruises.
Future “Fun-Raisers” at Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel will include PR Yak-Yak with the Gold Coast PR Council and PRSA-Palm Beach on September 19; a benefit on behalf of Genesis Community Health in Boynton Beach on October 17; and Best Bite on the Ave, a restaurant competition that will benefit 10 local nonprofit organizations on November 21.
